I'm James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages. On behalf of Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the Government of Canada, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

I hope you are ready for some excitement as the world's best athletes gather in Canada. Our athletes trained long and hard to earn their place on Team Canada. Let's show them our support.

We are proud to support and promote Canada's official languages and rich multicultural heritage. The Cultural Olympiad will present the best of Canada's culture through festivals, live performances and other artistic experiences.
