2010 Federal Secretariat: Strategic Objectives

The Government of Canada’s participation in the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games and related initiatives will:

• enhance Canada’s domestic and international profile and support federal visibility as a key partner of the 2010 Winter Games;
• leverage 2010 Winter Games to advance existing federal priorities and promote sustainable sport, social, cultural, and economic benefits for all Canadians; and
• promote and support the seamless planning and delivery of federal essential services that will result in high-quality Games.

These 2010 strategic objectives are in alignment with the strategic objectives of the Department of Canadian Heritage, the lead federal department for the 2010 Winter Games, and the Federal Policy for Hosting International Sport Events.
