In 2002, the Government of Canada initiated and subsequently signed a comprehensive Multi-Party Agreement (MPA) with key 2010 Winter Games partners. The MPA outlines the commitments and expectations of all parties, including financial contributions, legal responsibilities, and sport legacies.
The Government of Canada works closely with its Multi-party Agreement partners, as well as with other partners and stakeholders on ensuring the success of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. [ More ]
Multi-Party Agreement partners include:
- the Vancouver Bid Corporation (now the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games)
- the Province of British Columbia
- the City of Vancouver
- the Resort Municipality of Whistler
- the Canadian Olympic Committee
- the Canadian Paralympic Committee
