Cultural Olympiad

The Cultural Olympiad is the cornerstone in the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC) strategy to fulfill its commitment to the "Cultural Pillar" of the Olympic movement, as mandated by the International Olympic Committee. A multi-year, multi-disciplinary, multi-venue "celebration of the imagination", the Cultural Olympiad has bold ambitions consistent with VANOC's mandate "to touch the soul of the nation and inspire the world".

The Cultural Olympiad is a three-year initiative.

Cultural Olympiad 2010     January 22 - March 21, 2010

The Cultural Olympiad represents an extraordinary opportunity to showcase the best of Canadian and international performing arts and culture to a global audience at a time when the world media is focused on Vancouver.
